LYNX Technik To Showcase yellobrik Sync Pulse Generator with Genlock at ISE 2023
Provides a Stable Master Timing and Reference Signal Source for Live Events
January 30, 2022 – Weiterstadt, Germany – LYNX Technik, provider of modular signal processing interfaces, announces its new yellobrik SPG 1708 – sync pulse generator with genlock and UHD support. The SPG 1708 is the successor to the SPG 1707, the original yellobrik sync pulse generator and will be showcased at the upcoming ISE 2023 event in Barcelona on stand 5C780.
The yellobrik SPG 1708 is a portable or rack-based system solution to sync your video signals, offering more accuracy and reliability when it comes to keeping video signals in sync. The genlock feature ensures the module can lock to any UHD, 3G, HD or SD Sync input, with full cross-lock functionality, even across unmatched standards. With German-built reliability and sustainability, the SPG 1708 helps all your equipment play well together, providing the correct reference signal to every piece of gear in your live event, no matter the format needed.
The module provides 3x HD tri-level and bi-level sync outputs, and Black Burst supporting all SD, HD, 3G-UHD, and 12G-SDI 4K/UHD video formats. A separate audio sync output can be switched between 48 KHz Word Clock or Digital Audio Reference (DARS). Ultra-stability is achieved using precision temperature controlled oscillators with an accuracy of 2ppm.
As with all yellobriks, the SPG 1708 is designed for simple and straightforward standalone operation, whereby all controls, settings and instructions can be easily understood and accessed from the front panel. But if a system approach is called for, then the SPG 1708 fits neatly into the yellobrik rack system providing redundant power and can be configured, adjusted, and controlled remotely over ethernet with LynxCentraal software, for a streamlined interface and centralized monitoring and reporting.
